I obtained my Bachelor degree in Agronomy from Vietnamese University of Agriculture (VNUA). My master degree was successfully achieved from 2012-2014 from Agricultural Science and Resource Management in theTropics and Subtropics (ARTS, University of Bonn). Within the framework of TR32 (Transregional collaborative research 32), my PhD project aims to observe and compare ecophysiological crop growth characteristics and gas fluxes from leaf to canopy under the field conditions with different crop (winter wheat and maize; anisohydric and isohydric)), soil types and water regimes. Another aspect of my task is to use the measured data to represent those contrasting stomatal mechanisms to shoot model and then coupling with the root model towards improved process representation for modelling CO2 and H2O fluxes of crops. My current projects (EU-SUSCAP project, AgMIP-Ozone Project, German-Sino-FACE experiment project), I would like to gain further understandings of crop responses to elevated ozone (sole or interaction with other abiotic stress -drought, CO2, and increase temperature) based on both field measurements and crop modeling development and applications at open top chamber and regional scales. Suggesting adaptation strategies to improve crop resource use efficiency under climate change and air pollution is one of my scientific aims.
