Research interests:

I am interested in identifying management strategies to build the climate resilience of cropping systems in the face of high temperatures and drought. To do so, I try to improve current crop growth models so they better account for the interaction between temperature and soil water stress for different levels of management intensity. I am also interested in how to account for the diversity of crop management found in smallholder systems when crop simulation models are applied at larger scales. Such information would enable analysis of the impacts of cropping system adaptations simultaneously on regional production and household food security.
