  • Potentials and limits of resource use and management towards sustainable land use
  • Significance of resources for yield and quality of harvested products and its relation to the supply, uptake and translocation in the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum
  • Resource use at different spatial scales (plant organ, crop stand, farm, region) and interactions between scales
  • Methods to evaluate the sustainability of resource use
  • Research questions and methodological solutions to the problems
